9.18的这道消费类话题，其实在20年的时候就考过，不过这道题的变体有些时候其实没有提到科技产品，而是提到new product.

2020年8月23日：When a new product comes out, some people like to wait a while to see if its price goes down before they buy it; others prefer to buy it right away even if they pay a little more. Which do you prefer and why?

2016年9月3日：Some people prefer to buy a product as soon as it is in the market. Other people prefer to purchase a product when it has been in the market for some time.  Which do you prefer and why?

虽然有个别词汇在题目中的差别，不过本质还是在讨论消费的方式，是先买还是后买。

而消费这类的题目其实并不是很多，不过每个题目上的细微差别，还是需要用相应的论述去展开才行。

老师整理了几道考过的消费类话题，有时间的同学可以尝试做一下：

1.Is it better to use your extra money to buy some objects like clothes or electronic products, or is it better to use the extra money to increase your experience like going for a vacation or a concert? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

买物质，还是买体验？

2.Some people would like to borrow money to do a large purchase. Others will save money until they can afford. Which do you think is a better way and why?

借钱买大件，还是存钱再去买？

3.When buying things, some people prefer to haggle, or negotiate prices with the seller, while other people just buy at the price given. Which do you prefer, and why?

讲价，还是不讲价？

4.Some people like to shop in large grocery stores and department stores while others prefer to shop in small specialty stores. Which do you prefer?

是去大超市，还是去专卖店买东西？

回到今天的这道题目，展开的方式因为是讲到科技，在理由上可以和科技适当沾边：

1）新产品经常有技术问题，等等党可以等技术完善了再买；

2）省钱：一般产品过来一阵就会降价。

参考范文

I think it’s better to wait before buying new technology for two reasons.（等等再买）

First, new devices often have problems when they first come out.（新产品会有些问题） For example, a new phone might have issues like short battery life or software bugs. By waiting, the company can fix these problems, and you get a better device.

Second, prices usually go down after a while.（后续会降价） A new laptop may be very expensive at first, but after a few months, stores often lower the price or have sales. Waiting can save you money without losing any quality.
