有主见的人

Describe a person who always has strong opinions.

Who this person is

The person I'd like to talk about is my former colleague, Sarah. We worked together for about two years at a tech company, and I quickly noticed that she was someone who never hesitated to voice her thoughts on various issues.

How you knew him/her

I first met Sarah during a team project. From our initial interactions, it was clear that she had strong convictions about how things should be done. Whether it was related to the project or even office politics, she always had a well-formed opinion. Over time, I got to know her better through meetings, discussions, and informal conversations.

Why you think he/she is an opinionated person

There are a few reasons why I consider Sarah to be quite opinionated. First of all, she has a very analytical mind and spends a lot of time reading and staying updated on the latest trends in our industry. As a result, she often brings up points that others might not have thought of, and she’s always ready to back her opinions with data or logic. Secondly, she isn’t easily swayed by others. Even if the majority of the group disagrees with her, Sarah stands firm on her beliefs, which is both admirable and sometimes challenging during group discussions. For instance, when we were debating the direction of a marketing campaign, Sarah strongly believed in using a data-driven approach, while others were leaning more towards creative freedom. She argued her case passionately and didn’t back down until we all saw merit in her viewpoint.

Explain how you feel about him/her

Personally, I admire Sarah’s confidence and how articulate she is when expressing her thoughts. However, there were times when I found her strong opinions a bit overwhelming, especially when it felt like she wasn’t willing to compromise. Despite that, I think it’s important to have people like Sarah in a team because they encourage you to think critically and not just follow the crowd. In the end, I learned a lot from her, not just about work but also about standing up for what you believe in.
