昨天，有同学问诺诺："大量的"在托福写作中到底都有哪些说法呀？后边能接可数还是不可数名词？一直分不清楚···

今天，我们就来一起整理一波 "大量的"相关的表达，及其对应的搭配。

一、既能接可数，又能接不可数名词

1.A lot of

2.lots of

3.plenty of 

笔记：以上3种说法，强烈推荐大家用于托福和雅思的口语中！

二、只能接可数名词

1.Many

2.(many a/ an)

3.a great many

4.a great/large/good/considerable/ substantial/significant/ small/low number of

5.numerous

6.countless

7.innumerable

8.a multitude of

9.a myriad of

10.a host of (when something seems surprising or impressive)

11.a raft of (ideas, suggestions, changes in business or politics)

12.copious (existing or being produced in large quantities)

13.abundant

14.(scores of)

15.dozens/hundreds/thousands/millions of

16.(tons/loads of)

17.(quite a few)

笔记：括号中的说法比较口语化~要想真正掌握这些短语的用法，需要三步走：

1.参照例句仿写一个句子

2.在下一篇作文中有意地使用这个短语

三、只能接不可数名词

1.Much

2.a good/great deal of

3.a large/immense/small amount of

4.large/considerable/enormous/copious small/tiny amounts of

5.a large/small/vast/huge/considerable/ enormous/ substantial quantity of,

6.(oceans of  + liquid)

7.(abundant supply of   = more than enough)

笔记：oceans of一般修饰液体，一定记得：a great deal of后边都不接可数名词！

请注意extensive, immense, enormous, huge, vast这些词的意思不是“多”，而是“大”。所以要用这些词来修饰number/amounts等词之后，才能表达“大量的 = 多”的意思。

四、一些动词

1.Abound in/with + 可数名词

2.bombard somebody with 可数/不可数名词

笔记：1.这两个动词其实超实用，例句如下：
（1）Examples of this abound.

（2）Today we are being bombarded with information in the digital age with emails, phones calls, and messages constantly competing for our attention.
