A beautiful snow globe has always been a cherished childhood trinket for me. They are, in essence, glass balls containing a landscape upon which snow fell when shaken.

The first time I saw a snow globe was in a seaside souvenir shop. For an eight-year- old, there’s something mysteriously beautiful about snow globes that makes them truly enrapturing （ 吸引人的） to look at. They feel like tinny houses, hosting beautiful stories or an alternate universe of my favorite places in the world. Lightly sparkling in snow, with a Christmas tree, and beautiful creatures, unique snow globes are simply ethereal（美轮美奂）. They are irresistible for their promise of brief, easy entertainment. Without hesitation, I convinced my mom to buy one for me and placed it on our dining table. Having it around our house really filled our home with joy and delight.

Though I am no longer a child, I like collecting snow globes very much as they serve as a remembrance of（ 纪念） my childhood fantasies, or so-called "happy days". Moreover, beautiful snow globes allow me to go back to a time when everything is okay. Where nothing can hurt us and all we know is joy and innocence. In fact, when I stare at the whimsical wintry scenes suspended in liquid, I will immerse myself in the happy memories depicted in the snow globe. By doing so, I feel I am gradually loosening the restraints（放松限制） of self-centeredness, thus having a profound, abiding feeling（长久的） of peace.
